Art in Your Park

Art in Your Park transforms Nottingham’s Highfields ‘University’ Park into a 121 acre outdoor contemporary public art gallery, presenting artworks inspired by the ancient artefacts from the Roman Sanctuary of Diana Nemorensis, on public display at Nottingham Castle Museum’s ‘Treasures of Nemi’ from June to September 2013.

Along with Wander Thoresby, Art in Your Park aims to demonstrate the feasibility of using location-based media to exhibit digital content outdoors. In this case, members of the local community – from medical research scientists to art historians, from musicians to school children – will produce interactive multimedia exhibition guides using Wander Anywhere, each inspired by the ‘Treasures of Nemi’ and the Highfields Park site.
